Similipal is widely known as one of Odisha’s most important wildlife and forest landscapes. But beyond its popular image as a destination for safaris and waterfalls lies a region shaped by forests, indigenous communities, history and a distinctive relationship between people and nature.

For Odisha Walks Similipal, the focus was on expanding the way visitors experience the region.
Playbook worked towards developing experiences that allow visitors to engage with Similipal beyond conventional sightseeing. The approach looks at the landscape not simply as wilderness, but as a lived region with stories, communities, traditions and histories connected to the forest.
The experiences bring together elements of nature, local life and storytelling, encouraging visitors to spend more time understanding the landscape around them.
